ITP Buzzy Kits
Buzzy Kits use a combination of cold and gentle vibration to help reduce the pain and anxiety of injections or blood tests. They’re especially helpful for children and teens with ITP, but many adults find them useful too.
Whether it’s for regular blood tests, IVIg infusions, vaccinations or other procedures, Buzzy can make the experience a little easier and less stressful.
Is a Buzzy Kit Right for Your Child?
You may be eligible for a donated Buzzy Kit if:
- You are the parent or carer of a child living with ITP, or
- You know a paediatric ITP patient who experiences distress during blood draws, injections or IV treatments
If this sounds like your ITP Warrior, you can apply to receive a Buzzy Kit at no cost.
How Buzzy Works
Buzzy uses two simple techniques to help reduce needle pain:
- Cold helps numb the skin
- Vibration distracts the nerves
- Together, they help interrupt pain signals during injections or blood draws
This method is backed by research and used in hospitals, clinics and homes around the world.

Each donated Buzzy Kit includes:
- 1 Buzzy device
- Reusable cold wings
